EL
MUDITO

On any given day, Luis, known best as El Mudito, can be found making one of his signature creations.

An avid collector of things, he builds carts from scraps of wood, makes walkways out of bottle caps, and embroiders names and drawings into his hats and collared shirts. Unable to speak, he’s found his own way to express himself.

Like the man himself, his creations are jovial and lighthearted, though not always the tidiest. Names are often misspelled, carts are massively sized. But that seems to matter little to El Mudito, who wears and uses his art proudly.

An adopted member of the Herreras, he’s spent most of his life in La Haciendita as the right hand of the family’s patriarch. When not crafting his art, he tends to the crops, accompanied by his dog Paloma.
